A TASTE OF NOLA
Join the culinary team of NOLA Avalon Park as they partner with Avalon General Store to present A Taste of NOLA Wine Dinner Tuesday, December 7 at 6:30 pm.
Five courses, each one expertly paired with a wine selected by Sommelier Taylor Cope of Paramount Beverage Distributors. Between courses, Taylor will discuss the wines and the methodology he used to select them. Featured wines will be available for purchase by the bottle at Avalon General after the event.
Kevin Brune, Chef Owner of NOLA Avalon Park, will share anecdotal stories about his beloved New Orleans and the Mississippi Gulf Coast where he grew up.

Chef Kevin’s Cajun twist on the Spanish favorite. Fire roasted tomatoes and trinity vegetables blended, seasoned and served chilled.

Chef Juan Sanchez’s take on traditional Jambalaya. Seasoned rice balls with andouille sausage, chicken, trinity vegetables and a gooey cheese center, served with house-made garlic herb aioli.

SALAD COURSE – Deconstructed Muffuletta Salad
All the components of the classic New Orleans original sandwich come together in a lighter presentation: Genoa salami, pepperoni, mortadella, provolone cheese, marinated olive tapenade and croutons made from the muffuletta bread beautifully presented on a bed of Sweet Butter Leaf lettuce.
