Pico de Gallo Mexican Grill & Sister Restaurant The Bakery Colombian Cafe Expanding Again
2 New Locations to Open Summer 2023
Orlando, FL (June 13, 2023) – Avalon Park Group announced today that Pico de Gallo will be expanding its operations by opening two new locations this summer in the Central Florida area. The authentic Latin American restaurant will also return to the Marketplace at Avalon Park, while also expanding The Bakery Colombian Cafe concept in the Clock Tower.
Two additional locations of the Pico de Gallo brand are set to open in Orlando later this summer: Waterford Lakes in the Sprouts Plaza and one in the Lake Nona area. The Marketplace at Avalon Park will see Pico de Gallo return on June 25th, to allow for the expansion of The Bakery into the entire space the two currently share in the Clock Tower in Downtown Avalon Park. The expansion of The Bakery will bring additional traditional Colombian Latin Buffet menu items, like Cazuela de Frioles, Sancocho Colombiano, and Ajiaco.
“The community has welcomed us with open arms and stomachs,” said Lopez. “I cannot wait to share our newly expanded The Bakery menu with our new neighbors. We are also thrilled to be bringing the Pico de Gallo concept back to the Marketplace, where we got our start and feel proud to call home.”
Originally opening in September 2021 in the Marketplace food hall, Pico de Gallo has been welcomed in the Avalon Park community, and is ready to expand. Long-time Avalon Park residents Jorge and Heidi Cardona-Lopez, as well as sister Heisell Alarcon brought this vision to life after 13 years, and now the vision is growing even more.
